Description
This wine is a Viennese field blend of 6 different grapes: Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Grner Veltliner, Riesling, Chardonnay, and Gewrztraminer. The wine is also bottled before fermentation finishes, so it is naturally sparkling. Pet-Nat’s are fun and super refreshing, and there is always a little residue left at the bottom of the bottle, which is normal. Gemischter Satz means “mixed set”, and is a traditional blend of grapes that are grown within Vienna’s city limits. The grapes are hand harvested and aged for six months in stainless steel tanks. The wine is a combination of crispness, acidity, texture, and floral aromatics that really make it a great option to pair with lots of food. We would pair it wish Jgerschnitzel, a German dish made of a roast veal or pork cutlet with a sauce made of mushrooms and tomatoes or cream.
