Description
When we look for a producer to share with our members, there is one thing that its hard to top: consistency. The ability to make good wine, with multiple varietals and every vintage is a huge asset. And that is one of the most incredible things about Volcanes. If you look them up on Wine Enthusiast, youll see a long list of well reviewed wines, in the high 80s and low 90s. When you see that kind of reputation, you know youve found something special.
Of course, we have to sample a wine to know if the reputation is earned and when we took a sip of their Reserva Pinot Noir, we knew we had struck gold. From Chiles Maipo Valley, one of the countrys premier growing regions, this Pinot Noir has classic and authentic Pinot notes. Aromas of juicy berries and spice are beautifully enticing. On the palate, elegant fruit flavors of plum and cherry take the lead with a little peppery undertone. The finish is spicy and dry and is pleasingly Pinot.
