Description
The Rhum J.MFume Volcanique is the second in a series of three cocktail focused special releases for the distillery, the “Atelier des Rhums” series, each exploring different flavor profiles achieved through various cask treatments and types. While the Jardin Fruit presents the rich and fruityside and the pices Croles impresses with warm and spicy notes, the Fume Volcanique is aged for just over a year in super heavily re-charred ex-bourbon barrels, lending a big smoky note while retaining the bright sugarcane character as well.
The profile is sweet up front, with salted butter caramel, honey, lime, and a wisp of smoke. Bottled at 49% abv.
