Description
This wine is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc. We would pair this with beer battered halibut tacos. The vine cuttings for these grapes are descendants of Sauvignon Blanc from the legendary Chteau d’Yquem, when cuttings from the French producer were brought to California in 1882. Railsback Frres were able to obtain cuttings from the California vines, and planted them in Buellton, CA, where a coastal climate allows for full phenolic ripeness, keeping the wine light and fresh, but without any “green” notes sometimes found in Sauvignon Blanc wines.
