Description
Greywacke is a Marlborough wine producer creating cult classic premium level wine in New Zealand.
Greywacke was created in 2009 by Kevin Judd, chief winemaker at Cloudy Bay from its very first vintage and he was instrumental in creating its deserved world class reputation and in fact for the incredible international recognition of the wines of New Zealand.
The name Greywacke was chosen by Kevin for his first Marlborough vineyard because of the quantity of greywacke river stones in the soil; a sedimentary rock which is widely found in Marlborough.
Kevin Judd is also one of New Zealands finest wine photographers. He has published a book called The Landscape of New Zealand Wine. What a talented guy!
