Description
Before 2017, when the distillery was acquired by master distiller Billy Walker, GlenAllachie was rarely seen as a single malt whisky. The much-anticipated core range of the GlenAllachie distillery from Speyside was launched in July 2018. This 12 Year expression features whisky matured in Pedro Ximnez sherry, oloroso sherry, and virgin oak casks.Bottled at 46%, non chill filtered, and natural color.
It opens up on a distinct vanilla note, accompanied by lots of candied banana and honey, as well as pencil shavings and malt. The palate is soft and gentle and not dissimilar to the nose, albeit it a tad spicier. The texture is lovely creamy and mouthcoating.
