From Whisky Advocate: “It tees off with manuka honey, toasted English muffin, vanilla seed, toasted coconut, and baking spice aromas. It goes down the hole smoothly, with creamy flavors around a core of vanilla intensity plus cream soda, dried banana, and green fruits, gliding through honey, butterscotch sauce, and caramel.”
From Drinkhacker: “Turns out this is an iconic and delightful expression of bourbon barrel-aged blended Scotch, its 19 years clearly evident on its well-developed shoulders. The nose is rich and malty, with more caramel than expected, giving it a depth and silky sweetness that is often lacking in blended whiskies. The palate is bold with salted caramel theres plenty of saline in this one that leads to a well-developed layer cake of chocolate, vanilla, and nougat, baking spice, and some cinnamon-layered applesauce notes. This expression feels built for the creme brulee fan and the chocolate ganache lover.”
