Description
Matured exclusively on Islay, primarily in ex-Bourbon casks. A small number of Sauternes and Port casks are vatted with the Bourbon casks for nine months before bottling. Full bodied and beautifully fragrant, notes of soft honey, butterscotch, and citrus orange open on the nose, with vanilla, coconut cream, loads of honeyed and fresh tropical fruits, from mango and peach to apricots and melons, and toasted mellow oak lingering on the palate. Like the flagship, this whisky is bottled at 50% ABV, putting it above the more typical 40%-46% for single malt scotch.
