This excellent Cuban spiced rum addresses concerns about the overly confected and sweet rums that have proliferated the rum scene in recent years. On releasing this dry-spiced rum in 2019, Black Tears have proudly positioned themselves the opposite of the many super sweet rums currently on the market.
It has been spiced with native Cuban spices and ingredients. Ingredients include Cuban coffee, Cuban chocolate, and Cuban chili pepper. I really think that sounds delicious. It’s toasty and roasty and rather wonderful.
The combination is a seductive, silky-smooth spiced batch, which works brilliantly straight, over ice, or mixed to make a great long cocktail including a Dark ‘n’ Stormy or a Cuba Libre.
