Description
One of the most revered of all agave species due to its scarcity and relatively small physical size, tobal agave has a growing period of up to 30 years. Banhez Tobal is known for its intense aromatics and smooth flavor profile with tasting notes consisting of green mango, leather, and fresh green herbs.
Banhez Mezcals are produced in Ejutla by a family and farmer owned Cooperative. The Co-op members work together to make sustainable, fair trade Mezcal as their ancestors have done for generations. From sowing agave seeds to bottling each expression, each step in the process is completed by a member of the Co-op – a member of the Banhez family.
