Description
This wine is made from 100% Macabeu, also known as Viura, from AT Rocas highest elevation vineyard in the Costers de lOrdal. The vineyard faces northwest and protects the grapes from direct afternoon sun to preserve their freshness. After a primary fermentation the wine is aged 40 months in bottle under cork, it is disgorged, and bottled with zero dosage. As a result the wine is bone dry with a delicious apricot, lemon, and brioche palate. We would enjoy it with a Spanish “seacuterie” with tinned mackerel, octopus, olives, manchego, jamon iberico, and crusty bread.
