Amaro del Capo is one of the most recognisable Amaro’s on the market today. Made with a secret blend of 29 herbs and spices from the region of Calabria which is situated on the “toe” of the boot.
Each spice, root, herb and flower is harvested at a different time. It is upon harvesting that each masceration takes place, one by one over the course of a year. The Fratelli Caffo distillery believes this keeps the organoleptic (try saying that after one or two of these) properties of each ingredient as fresh as possible before the final blend which is of course a closely guarded secret! Fratelli Caffo have more than a century of expertise in crafting spirits and the unique flavour profile of this wonderful amaro offers depth and complexity to a wide range of mixed drinks, making it a favourite among bartenders and cocktail enthusiasts.
It’s very bitter, complex and superb served ice cold from the freezer. A classic Amaro.
Serve cold after the meal as a digestif.
