Tasting notes
A deep golden amber color with pronounced aromas of panela sugar, coconut, dark caramel, toasted almonds, and walnuts. The velvety texture accentuates the sweet notes of cola, caramel, raw sugar, toasted coconut, and almonds. The nutty profile lingers on the finish with hints of dark roast coffee, peppercorn, menthol, and sandal wood.
History of the Cask
A wonderful expression from the only distillery in El Salvador situated in the Cihuatn valley: Ingenio La Cabaa. The Rum was distilled in 2007 after which it was filled into an American white oak cask at the distillery, and matured in the tropical climate of El Paisnal, El Salvador for 11 years. In 2018 the cask traversed the Atlantic Ocean for a further 4 years of maturation in the legendary Lagerhaus of Liverpool, United Kingdom.
The Royal Cane Cask Company is dedicated to search the world for ultra rare and old casks that remain from past times. Each Rum we release is limited to one cask. A cask with its own history, its own identity and its own style.
