Description
Angostura Cask Collection No.1 Oloroso Sherry has been created with a combination of techniques from the Old World and New World. Having warm, rounded aromas and a delicate nose of cocoa, molasses, oak and sweet prune with notes of woodiness, roasted nuts and hints of Sherry, followed by a medium rounded and oaky finish.
The expression joins the Cask Collection, which includes No. 1 First Fill Bourbon in 2013 and No. 1 French Oak in 2015. This is the first time they have used oloroso Sherry casks to maturerum. After aging in American oak, the rum was finished for nine months in oloroso Sherry casks.
