Bottled at 55% abv, the maximum allowed proof in Tequila production, this expression of Tapatio is like the director’s cut, showing everything in full force. Aromas of herbaceous raw agave, white pepper, citrus zest, and bright mint. On the palate, intense cooked agave, a slight smoke, pepper, anise, cinnamon and apple. The finish keeps going and going, with lingering pepper and vegetal earthiness.
