A blend of American rye fromJim Beam’s Clermontdistillery, Canadian rye from the Alberta Distillery, and a touch of California made dessert wine, in the style of port.The result, especially when combined with the mellow 80 proof of the Basil Hayden line, is an especially soft and easygoing rye. It foregoes the traditional fiery rye spice in favor of bready rye character and dark fruits, with a palate that is focused on plums, figs, and a touch of chocolate. Bottled at 40% abv.
