Nixta is a Mexican corn liqueur made from a base of heirloom corn on the cob that is grown in the high valleys and foothills of the Nevado de Toluca volcano. Nixta is produced at the Destilera y Bodega Abasolo, where they honor the Mexican culture of corn and the ancestral craft of nixtamalizationa 4,000 year old Mesoamerican cooking technique that uncovers the deepest flavors and aromas of maize. The. result is sweet and creamy and like nothing you’ve had before.
On the Eye: Intense straw with golden highlights.
On the Nose -Cornbread, toasted corn, vanilla and caramel.
In the Mouth -Notes of sweet corn perfectly balanced with toasted notes of nuts, dried fruits, roasted corn, vanilla and caramel.
