In Finland, just after launch of this incredibly popular vodka and salty liquorice liqueur, the government decided to ban it. Wait what? The reason was it was too popular. Fortunately it’s not banned anymore and is currently the third most popular liqueur in Finland having been reintroduced to the market in 1995.
It is particularly good when served alongside a mug of steaming hot chocolate.
