Description
Pasaeli is a Turkish winery located in a few areas spanning Western Turkey, namelyKaynaklar, Izmir andHosky, Tekirdag. Wine importerSeyit Karagzoglu founded the winery in 2002, focusing on indigenous varieties and preserving their production and eschewing the takeover of more widely known international varieties.
Made using the Sidalan variety, which is native to the Mount Ida region, this wine is kept in contact with the lees and fermented in stainless steel, retaining fresh fruit flavours whilst adding texture and complexity to the palate. It has a distinct salinity to it, with abundant aromas and flavours of citrus, white flowers and with a mineral touch on the finish.
