Description
Charles Fagot is a fantastic wine maker with a wide range of interests and talents. He is a gifted musician and plays the drums in a rock band made up of vignerons and restauranteurs. He is also the proprietor of the delightful Auberge du Vieux Vigneron brasserie in Corpeau in Burgundy where he can be found entertaining his customers in the evenings; there you can enjoy a wine list made up of a broad range of his wines.
His vineyard holdings of three hectares are mainly based around Corpeau and two particular highlights are his Bourgogne Blanc Cote dOr Les Champs Huillier and his energetic Bourgogne Aligot. He also makes tiny quantities of well made Puligny village and 1er Cru Hameau de Blagny.
This is an attractively uncomplicated old-vine Aligot, very refreshing with bright notes of citrus zest and white flowers. An attractively concentrated wine with good texture and mouth watering acidity. Wines like these are the reason people choose to shop with independent wine shops. We’re proud to have it on our shelves.
