Description
Achillee refers to the domain within the Alsace region of France that is owned by the Dietrich family who farm these lands organically and biodynamically. They collaborate with famers of the area who all work organically to create these wines, changing slightly from batch to batch depending on winemaker and grapes used, however the ethos and the label remain the same!
Using a blend of grapes from the Alsace region this wine is left on the skins for an extended period of time, giving robust yet integrated tannins and an oily texture that adds depth. Flavours of juicy tropical fruits and zesty, zippy acidity and a long, spicy finish abound. This is an aromatic skin contact wine which would pair amazingly with strongly flavoured foods – smoked meats, blue cheese, game and pickles!
