There is no doubt that this wine, the Tremo Selected Harvest, is one of the rarest wines in our entire collection. It is one of the most incredible wines, one that we save for our most special occasions because it never disappoints. It has a lot going for it and several reasons it is so special.
First, all the grapes come from a single-site, low yielding vineyard in Rioja (one of Spains best regions), assuring that the fruit is of the highest quality. Then, every grape is hand picked and sorted to ensure that only the best of these grapes go into the Selected Harvest. Lastly, the wine is only made when the conditions are perfect. If the weather conditions dont allow for grapes that are good enough, the Selected Harvest simply isnt made, a practice often only followed by the finest of French chateaux.
The result is simply unbelievable. It is a full-bodied and highly concentrated wine that will show off the best of Rioja (and one of the best in the world). It is packed with flavor and the Tempranillo (which makes up 95% of this wine) comes through and is balanced by premium Graciano. This wine is such a showstopper that, while it will pair beautifully with food, the winemakers recommend letting this wine take center stage and that it should be enjoyed at the conclusion of a great meal. This wine deserves to be a part of your special occasions.
