Description
This wine is made of 100% Saperavi. Pair this with something rich and bold: Ribeye on the grill with some gorgonzola fondue, buffalo chicken pizza, roasted lamb, or an alpine style aged cheese. Saperavi is a unique grape varietal because it produces red juice, in addition to having heavily pigmented skins. Most red and white grapes produce clear juice that becomes pigmented with skin contact fermentation. One of the most important varietals in Georgia, Saperavi is much like a rich Syrah, with peppery tannins and a medium-full body. Pop it open and decant as you normally would, for arond 30 minutes to one hour.
