Description
This wine is a classic blend of Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella, from the hilly vineyards of Valpolicella. We would pair it with a Hungarian beef goulash, and serve with a slight chill from 10 minutes in the fridge or a couple months in the cellar. Bright flavors of plum, black cherry and licorice dance across the fresh palate to a long finish. Monte del Fr is in its third generation, with winemaking beginning in 1958, when Massimo Bonomo rented a couple rooms on the estate and made wine outside the back of his “Frasca”, a typical bulk wine shop.
